The Murinsel (Mur Island) is not actually an island but a floating shell made of steel. It invites visitors to take a break, enjoy the warm sun on the benches in the open section or drink a coffee in the enclosed section and listen to the water lapping. This is why it is also popular with walkers. In the painting, their striking contours frame the couple in love and, in the imagined continuation, transform into a gentle embrace.
